Genesis 18:17-19 KJVS

[17] And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; [18] Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? [19] For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

Proverbs 28:20 KJVS

[20] A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

The word faithful is a noun that is defined as firmness, morality, steadfastness, steadiness. Full of faith or fidelity.

Faithful is made up of two words “faith” and “full

In order that it makes perfect sense we must rearrange them to describe the kind of Faith

“Full of Faith”

Full” speaks of having one’s entire capacity maximized.

FaithHebrews 11:1

When God deals with us it is not based on our present but He is functioning based on the substance of what He intends and earnestly desires us to be and the evidence of what He has not yet seen in us. But He is not discouraged He is confident in us.

He is committed to that goal regardless of how we behave. Jeremiah 29:11-13 KJVS

[11] For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. [12] Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. [13] And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

We may be straying and doing what God is not proud of, but all you need to do is realign yourself with Him.

His thoughts of us are good and of an expected end. In human circles it is used a quality that is unidirectional to prove loyalty to one who is superior who may not even have that quality but in the spiritual sphere it is an attribute possessed by a supreme being who chooses to be faithful to us and requires the same from us for our personal benefit.

When He tells us to be faithful to Him it is not for his benefit but for ours.

Proverbs 28:20

While His faithfulness to us is not conditional the benefits are. The reciprocity of confidence. It produces fruit.

Every successful person in anything in this world had this one characteristic. Faithfulness.

While we are speaking of our faithfulness focusing on our family it is important that we first look at the

origin and standard of faithfulness.

Faithful

is one of the attributes of God.

When we speak of God being faithful it is not about what He is doing but it is about who He is.

It is described as the Moral or communicable attributes of God.

It speaks to how He manages and maintains relationship with us.

We expect and demand faithfulness even if we do not give it. We should have the same quality of faithfulness that we demand.

There are twelve moral attributes of God arranged into three broad categories.

All of these attributes are also the expectations of God for His people.

  1. Holiness
